5 things I find annoying

5 things I find annoying

I have been writing a post in my blog titled changes, and I’ve tweaked it so many times that I am completely bored with it and don’t even feel like posting it. My daughter has suggested time and time again, that I write a post using a number. For example, I just read this one in Well Done, 4 Foods You Should Never Put in the Freezer. So, I left my miserable post and did something more useful- folded a load of laundry. As I was folding a pair of jeans, my mind, as it always does when I’m folding jeans, reminded me of something an old friend pointed out, probably 20 years ago, how she hates a seam down the front of jeans. She is so right. Since that was brought to my attention, I have had a huge dislike for that look-and I hope it never becomes fashionable! So there you have the trigger- the start of 5 things I really find annoying…

1) Folding casual pants-like 5 pocket jeans (why 5 pockets?) with a center crease. All it does is remind me of an 80-year-old man with ironed jeans and a prominent crease from hip to ankle. Just not a good look.

2) Since I’m on laundry, towels that aren’t all folded the same way. Sometimes I fold towels by halves. Other times, especially after reading a magazine, a blog, or watch YouTube such as Martha Stewart on how to fold towels, I’ll start a new trend and fold them differently. But when folding a load of laundry, they all have to be folded the same way and put away facing the same direction. Sometimes it might lead me to reposition the towels that are already in the closet if the newly introduced pile is in a different formation.

3) On more towel pet peeve. If you’re going to hang a damp towel on a hook, hang it so it has a chance of drying properly. Don’t just throw a towel on the hook- drape it nicely promoting the chance of drying without getting stinky!

4) Dresser drawers that aren’t closed all the way. (this one was passed down to me from my mother) Just give them a final push. It really isn’t asking too much. If you can’t close your drawers, it’s time to weed out some items.

5) A closet door left ajar. If I’m headed to my bed, and notice that the closet door isn’t closed all the way, I have to close it before I tuck myself in at night. ( I wonder if Ken ever noticed that?)

Oh, I have more, but it’ll have to wait. I’m jotting down my #1 pet peeve of all times for my next post. It really is one that frequently makes me cringe- but I must bury my feelings of disapproval.

Until next time!
